Transport

Working across such a large electoral region with a population of circa 500,000 people in urban, village and sparsely populated settlements highlights the vast differences in our transport infrastructure.

Developing existing links and exploring new opportunities has been one of Alun’s priorities since his election to the National Assembly for Wales in 2007.

Listening to concerns from transport users about bus services in the upper Swansea Valley, train services to Fishguard or road improvements across the region, Alun has been hearing from you about how the current network is letting people down.

Enhancing the rail network, making it more attractive for business and pleasure will ease the number of cars on main routes such as the A40 through south west Wales and A44 through mid Wales. Alun has successfully campaigned for improvements to the main line between Swansea and Llanelli which will improve the speed and frequency of train services to and from west Wales.

Improvements can still be made. If you would like to share your concerns with Alun Davies, fill in our feedback form.
